Education has been identified as the
cornerstone of development and it is now clear that societies which are
underdeveloped are those which do not invest in or see education as their
over-riding priority.

The FCT
Spelling Bee Competition is an annual literacy program which
teaches students the effective pronunciation of words, their meaning and proper
context of usage in English Language. Two editions (in 2013 and 2014) have been
successfully hosted thus far in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The Competition continues
to promote reading
culture and literacy in participant students by allowing them see the fun in
learning, helping them understand the inherent rewards that ride on academic
excellence, providing them with positive goals and ultimately initiating an
improvement in educational standards.
The 3rd Edition will include a Financial
Literacy session for the students.
