In
2013, the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF) carried out a study with the
objective of identifying geographic clusters of limited or no access to ICT
services. USPF now intends to make this data available to innovators to build
applications, solutions and technologies that will advance USPF policy goals of
universal access to ICT services in Nigeria.
A
hackathon is being organised in conjunction with iDEA (Information Technology
Developers Entrepreneurship Accelerator) Nigeria and Growing Businesses
Foundation to develop solutions that will expand the use of Information and
Communication Technology in Nigeria.
Strategy& Execution, the Project Managers of the Hackathon are sending out a call
to designers to create a logo that captures the following themes for the
hackathon:

The
winning design has a chance to win cash prize of N100,000. Entries with

Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF) was established by the Federal
Government of Nigeria to facilitate universal access and universal service to
information and communication technologies (ICTs) in rural, un-served and
under-served areas in Nigeria. The Fund seeks to enable greater social equity
and inclusion for the people of Nigeria through affordable access to ICT.
