#DPlaceABJ
Nigeria celebrated 54 years of independence in
October 2014. Since then the nation has faced many challenges and grown through
them.
For the 8th edition of DPlace held in
October, Decipher Solutions hosted 3 young people, Yusuf Leinge (Teacher),
Joseph Yaba (Youth development advocate) and Hamzat Lawal (Factivist) who have continuously
advocated for nation building through their own unique efforts. The event
themed, “Hush Patriotism”, a term coined by the Decipher Solutions team to
depict patriotic acts done by ordinary individuals was inspiring.
Here are some of our favourite quotes from the
event:
1. The
poor also have dignity. They will help themselves if you only help one.
- Zainab
Haruna, Founder Decipher Solutions

need everybody to rise independent of race, tribe or religion.

best form of sustainability is Human Capital Development

4. Nobody
asks that you find all the answers, they merely ask that you try.
- Zainab

5. Your
first funders for your project are always family and friends
- Hamzat

person that builds the nation is the person that takes responsibility

does not want you to do great things, God wants you to do little things in
great ways.

you need to serve is a burden

than ask, “Why can’t Nigeria progress? Ask instead, what can I do with what I
have, where I am to make Nigeria progress?
